We are seeking a motivated and experienced Inside Sales Representative fora Water Works Division. This position focuses primarily on supporting an important client in Puerto Rico (Utilities) related projects, providing technical product knowledge, quotations, and customer service to contractors, municipalities, and other water utility customers. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish) and have prior experience working with client specifications, standards, and processes.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client related inside sales activities.
Prepare, process, and follow up on quotations, bids, and purchase orders.
Provide technical product support for pipes, valves, fittings, restraints, and accessories per client specifications.
Review and interpret bid documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
Coordinate with outside sales, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, pricing, and order status in the company’s ERP/CRM system.
Develop and maintain relationships with client engineers, procurement officers, and approved contractors.
Stay informed on client procurement policies, standards, and approved product lists.
Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and product issues in a professional manner.
Assist in forecasting sales and inventory needs for client related projects.
Qualifications:
Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Minimum 3 years of inside sales experience in waterworks or related industry.
Prior experience with PRASA projects, standards, and procurement processes required.
Strong knowledge of waterworks products (ductile iron pipe, PVC, HDPE, valves, fittings, restraints, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CRM systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with EBAA Iron, American Cast Iron Pipe, Star Pipe, and other PRASA-approved manufacturers.
Experience preparing bid packages and coordinating with public agencies.
