EHS Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated EHS Coordinator to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations in a GMP-regulated facility. This position is ideal for candidates with 2+ years of experience in an EHS department, who are organized, proactive, and knowledgeable in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS documentation processes. The role involves clerical, administrative, and compliance support, ensuring alignment with GMP, OSHA, and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of EHS documentation, including SOPs, safety procedures, inspection records, and training logs.
Provide administrative support to the EHS department, including data entry, tracking of corrective actions, and preparing reports for audits and management reviews.
Support the coordination of safety meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety campaigns.
Assist in the preparation, updating, and filing of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for various facility operations and projects.
Maintain accurate and organized files in accordance with GMP and regulatory compliance standards.
Support the EHS team in incident investigation follow-up, root cause documentation, and report preparation.
Help coordinate contractor safety documentation, onboarding, and permit-to-work tracking.
Perform basic walkthroughs or inspections under supervision to assist with identifying unsafe conditions or compliance gaps.
Ensure all clerical tasks are completed in a timely manner and aligned with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field (required).
Minimum 2 years of direct experience working in an EHS department, preferably in a GMP-regulated, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) preparation and risk assessment principles.
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and GMP compliance standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout manufacturing, utility, and construction areas for inspections and document collection.
Must be able to climb stairs and occasionally access elevated or restricted areas.
Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., carrying files, binders, small safety equipment).
Able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and masks when entering controlled areas.
Tolerance to work in both office and facility/plant environments.
