Construction Engineer
Job Summary:
The Construction Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. This role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, as well as ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Plan and coordinate construction activities from initial phase to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor construction progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Manage communication among all project stakeholders.
- Site Supervision:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors and subcontractors.
- Resolve technical issues and conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Ensure the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols on the construction site.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including progress reports, project changes, and safety documentation.
- Prepare periodic reports for management and clients on project status.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and supervising construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Problem-solving and effective decision-making skills.
